Kala Knudslien BScN, CCHCNC

Kala Knudslien is a Registered Nurse and Holistic Cannabis Nurse with a clinical background in acute and community care. She is the founder and Managing Partner of Vital Holistic Care, where she leads a growing team of nurses providing holistic health assessments, endocannabinoid system and cannabinoid education, and Veteran Affairs-funded care. In collaboration with The Canadian Institute of Integrative Nursing Development and Education (The CIINDE) she also created the first accredited cannabis nursing certification in Canada. This program is currently being accredited by The Canada Nursing Association.

Drawing on her expertise in the endocannabinoid system and holistic nursing, Kala bridges the gap between conventional medicine and emerging integrative health practices. Her work with Safehouse Sciences focuses on advancing clinical education, supporting evidence-informed cannabis literacy, and promoting innovative approaches to health and wellness that prioritize the body’s natural regulatory systems.
